What are the recommended resolution and size for product images


There are differences between selling products in a physical store and on an online store. The most distinct different is that you cannot touch or feel the products. Thus, for online stores, product images have become a crucial element. They are the only mean the customers can have a look at the intended products.

Recommendations

  • Resolution : 1000px x 1000px
  • File Size : Less than 800KB (Best to be below 100KB)
  • Format : .jpg or .png/.gif (for transparent background)


Generally, an image with 1000px x 1000px has a file size of more than 1MB. Hence, you will need to optimize the image before uploading for faster store page load.

Note : Image file size exceeding 1MB cannot be uploaded to the Image Manager.
