Email Account Setup for Iphone
This article show you the guidelines of setting up your email account on iPhone iOS 7.1. From the home screen, select Settings.
2. Choose Mail, Contacts, Calendars.
3. Hit Add Account.
4. Then choose Other.
5. Click Add Mail Account. In the New Account screen, specify the following fields:
Name: Your name
Email Address: Your full Email Address
Password: The password that you set for this email
Description: Your email account
6. Click Next, then choose either IMAP or POP. In most cases with a mobile device, we suggest you to choose IMAP as it will enable you to synchronize to other devices that can check the email too (i.e. laptop, desktop or other mobile devices).
7. Under the Incoming Mail Server and Outgoing Mail Server section, enter the information:
Host Name: mail.example.com
User Name: your email address
Password: your email password
8. Hit Next in the top-right corner and click Save and wait till checking is finished. After your iPhone is done processing your information, you will be directed to Mail, Contacts and Calendars screen. By default, the iPhone will try to setup all connections with SSL enabled. please be sure to enable Use SSL, Authentication set to password and the Incoming Server Port is 993.
9. After that you need to return to previous menu Account Info., and then click on the Outgoing Mail Server to make sure Host Name of the server is enabled. As in the previous step, please be sure to enable Use SSL, Authentication set to password and the Outgoing Server Port is 587.
10. Once settings are verified, account is active and ready to use.
