How to set a conditional Sales Promotion

1. Go to Promotion > Sales Promotion
2. Click New

Then, the following page will be displayed.

Descriptions :

1. Sales Promotion Name
   • Enter the name of this Sales Promotion. This name will appear in the store.
2. Status
   • Turn this to On when you want to enable this Sales Promotion
     
3. Start Promotion
   • Define the start date of this Sales Promotion
4. End Promotion
   • Define the end date of this Sales Promotion
5. Discount Type
   • Determine the type of discount that you would like to have (Percentage or Fixed Amount)
6. Discount Amount
   • Determine the amount of discount that you would like to give after determining the Discount Type (Percentage or Fixed Amount)
7. Total Quantity To Trigger Promotion
   • Determine the no. of items that need to be checked out before this Sales Promotion is valid
   • Note : For example, if you want to set the trigger to be 3 items or more, then, input 2 in the field. Always input 1 value lesser.
     
8. Total Amount To Trigger Promotion
   • Determine the checkout amount before this Sales Promotion is valid
9. Maximum Uses Per Promotion
   • Define the no. of times this Sales Promotion can be used during the defined promotion period
10. Maximum Uses Per Customer
    • Define the no. of times this Sales Promotion can be used by a single customer during the defined promotion period
11. Click on Sales Items tab
12. By Products
    • Type the name of the desired product and select it from the drop-down menu
13. By Category
    • Check the box(es) beside the intended Category and its products will appear in the Applicable Products box field
14. By Brand
    • Check the box(es) beside the intended Brand and its products will appear in the Applicable Products box field
15. Applicable Products
    • View the list of selected products for this Sales Promotion
16. Click on Required Products tab
17. Quantity Required To Buy
    • Determine the no. of Required Products that need to be purchased to be qualified for this Sales Promotion
18. Quantity Eligible For Discount
    • Determine the no. of checkout Sales Items that are eligible for the discount when conditions are fulfilled
19. Quantity Type
    • Select either Proportional or Fixed
      • Propotional
        • Sales items will be proportional to the quantity of required items (e.g. Buy 2 Free 1, Buy 4 Free 2)
      • Fixed
        • Sales items will be fixed, no matter how many required items are in the cart (e.g. Buy 2 Free 1, Buy 4 Free 1)
20. By Products
    • Type the name of the desired product and select it from the drop-down menu
21. By Category
    • Check the box(es) beside the intended Category and its products will appear in the Applicable Products box field
22. By Brand
    • Check the box(es) beside the intended Brand and its products will appear in the Applicable Products box field
23. Required Products
    • View the list of selected required products for this Sales Promotion
24. Save
    • Click to save and continue

Next, we need to configure the additional options for this Sales Promotion.

Descriptions :

1. Click on Options tab
2. Works with Registered Customers
   • Select Yes if you want this Sales Promotion to be valid only for customers that have opened accounts in your store
3. Works with Free Shipping
   • Select Yes if you want this Sales Promotion to be valid even when customers checkout items that have Free Shipping promotion
4. Works with Coupon
   • Select Yes if you want this Sales Promotion to be valid even when customers are also checking out with discount coupon
5. Works with Product Option
   • Select Yes if you want this Sales Promotion to be applicable to the surcharge amount in the Product Options as well
6. Works with Special Discount Products
   • Select Yes if you want this Sales Promotion to be valid even when customers are checking out items that have Special Discounts
7. Works with Bulk Discount Products
   • Select Yes if you want this Sales Promotion to be valid even when customers are checking out items that have Bulk Discounts
8. Days (Recurring Promotion)
   • Determine which day(s) of the week that you want this Sales Promotion to be valid
9. Customer Groups
   • Determine which Customer Groups will be able to enjoy this Sales Promotion
10. Currency
    • Determine which Currency that this Sales Promotion will be applicable to
11. Save
    • Click to save and continue
12. Back
    • Click to exit
