Pre-order item setup tutorial
Pre-orders allow your customer to reserve an item from your website store before it's officially available or when it is out of stock. So, this tutorial will teach you on how to setup pre-order items.1. First, go to Products > Product List. Choose the product that you want to make as a pre-order item.
2. From the product setting, go to Data tab, set the Quantity to 0.

NOTE: If the product already have a quantity, Kindly refer below link on how to change it to= 0.

3. Set “Out Of Stock Status”: Pre-Order

After you are done, click save and refresh the page.
4. From your website, go to the product page. The product now has been set as a pre - order item

It will show Availability status as Pre-Order and the add to cart button will display PRE-ORDER text.
5. The customer can add the pre-order items to the cart and checkout the item.
6. After you received the order together with the payment, you can start shipping the items when it is available or in-stock.
